The College-Level Primary Contest of 2019 Chongqing University Innovative Classroom Teaching Competition took place at the Foreign Languages Department yesterday last Thursday and 11 teachers from the department participated in the eye-attracting event. This contest is intended to further implement the a new round of education reforms and connotative development d among higher education institutes featured by better use of IT technology in talent fostering and teaching practice, which is in accordance with Modernization of Chinese Education 2035 Plan by the Central Committee of CPC and the State Council and Guidelines on Accelerating in Building A High-Level Undergraduate Education and Improving Talent Training in an All-round Way by the Ministry of Education.
2019年重庆普通本科高校课堂教学创新大赛院级选拔赛上周四在外国语学院举行,共有11名教师参与角逐。该比赛旨在进一步贯彻落实中共中央、国务院《中国教育现代化2035》和《教育部关于加快建设高水平本科教育全面提高人才培养能力的意见》精神,充分利用信息技术开展人才培养模式和教学方法的改革,推动课堂教学革命,加快推进高等教育内涵式发展。
The theme of the contest this year is Classroom Revolution Driven by Innovative Teaching. A growing trend jointly revealed by several contestants is that cloud technology is widely adopted in the classroom teaching. Lanmo Cloud Classroom, a mainstream teaching and learning assistant App whose fundamental feature is to connect and combine the teaching and learning processes outside of traditional classroom teaching using features such as real-time classroom discussion, quiz and assignment and etc, is enabled by the latest cloud computing technology. On top of that, another innovative trend is the adoption of mind mapping in classroom teaching, which, believed by many experts is crucial in fostering a critical thinking ability and establishing a better analyzing tool among students. The traditional teacher-centered approach is now being replaced rapidly by the student-centered approach and various task-based or project-based practice is helping to build a more creative and vibrant classroom dynamic.
